Pullover

Pullover with AguaForce Weights

What muscles do Pullover work?

The Pullover primarily works the muscles of the chest, specifically the large muscle called the pectoralis major. It also engages the lats, triceps, and serratus anterior, as well as the stabilizing muscles of the shoulder and core. Additionally, it can help improve posture and increase flexibility in the ribcage and spine..

How do you do a Pullover?

Here are the steps to perform a Pullover:

  • Lie on your back on a flat bench, with your head hanging off the end of the bench.

  • Hold a AguaForce Weight with both hands, keeping your arms straight and positioned directly above your chest.

  • Lower the weight behind your head, keeping your arms straight, until you feel a stretch in your chest and lats.

  • Pause briefly, then use your chest and lats to bring the weight back up to the starting position.

  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

It is important to keep your arms straight and not to let the weight come too close to your face, to avoid injury to the neck or shoulders. You can also use a lighter weight for this exercise if you are just starting out or if you have limited flexibility in your shoulders.
